As Old As Time (Twisted Tales #3) Reviews
The book had a strong start with the two different perspectives of belle and maurice, i particularly liked the backstory of maurice and rosalind. In belle's perspective it was going pretty much how the disney movie goes. its only when you get halfway through do the twists and turns start to take place.
In my opinion the book was a bit too long for my liking, i struggled to feel engaged a little bit. I liked how the middle of the book it felt sort of like a murder mystery with belle and beast try ...more
Maybe 2.5, I'm struggling with a few bits.
This was sooooo much darker than the Disney version.
It has a whole other side story that is both extremely beautiful and horribly sad.
I think this was my favourite in the series so far!
Meh it wasn't what I hoped for and I do mot plan on reading anymore twisted tales. Not for me.
The ending sucks. That's one of the only things that irks me about the book. I was hoping for the obvious ending and yet, nope, I'm left unsatisfied. And it could have been easily remedied with an epilogue at the end. Unless it'll happen in another of the series? Which would be unfortunate since I don't want to read anything else...unless there happens to be a Little Mermaid or Cinderella one down the line. Then I'd consider those as well, but nothing about this book makes me remotely interested ...more
Firstly my daughter bought this book so I could read it then tell her what the twist was. Hmm, normally I would not bite but I was a little intrigued. It was not a bad book, I was annoyed for the first half when it kept switching from past to present. One chapter before the curse, the next was almost exactly like the Disney movie.
It did all eventually merge and then went it's own way. It does not have a HEA and is not a romance novel IMO. It is safe for children to read again IMO.
This was an absolute dumpster fire of a book. But I still enjoyed it because I have no taste.
